James Harold Mason

James Harold Mason AKA Birddog, age 92, of Alto, Texas passed away at his home on April 12, 2024. Graveside service will be on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at the Alto City Cemetery under the direction of O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home.

James Harold Mason was born on January 10, 1932, to Joel Howard Mason and Otha Lee Norton Mason in Alto, Texas.

In 1951 James Harold Mason graduated from Alto High School. In 1953 James Harold joined the Army and served in the Korean War as a P.F.C. in the 49th TRK Co. He retired as a security guard from the Rusk State Hospital and then went on to own his lawn service.

James Harold Mason loved hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Patricia Ann Mason.
