Alto - Graveside funeral services for Calvin L. Isgate, 86, of New Iberia, Louisiana and formerly of Alto will be Tuesday, March 15th, at 1:00 p.m., at the Shiloh Cemetery in Alto with Rev. Odis Bryan officiating. Mr. Isgate passed away, March 12th, 2016, in New Iberia, Louisiana. He was born February 24th, 1930 in Alto, Texas to Eddie R. Isgate and Mamie Felder Isgate. Mr. Isgate grew up in Alto and had also lived in South Houston for many years before moving to the New Iberia area where he lived the last 43 years of his life. He worked as a Shrimper for most of his life. Mr Isgate was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Ann Ramer, Ruth Bickford and LoAva Bryant. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law David Isgate (Lavita) of League City, Sister JoEva Mobley of Temple, Granddaughter and husband Amanda Isgate- Bussey (Justin) of Katy and Great Grandson Connor Bussey of Katy. He had several nieces and nephews and other relatives as well as numerous friends he made along the bayou, including his closest friends, Joey and Raevin Percle and Warren and Beth Shepherd.
