Cushing- Funeral services for Jean Greenwood, 84, of Cushing will be Saturday December 16th, at 10am at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Connie Knott and Rev. Jared Phillips officiating. Burial will be at the McKnight Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday night from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Cushing. Mrs. Greenwood died Wednesday, December 13th, in Cushing. She was born December 19th, 1932 in Sacul, Texas to J.D. Gresham and Mary Ether Fuller Gresham. She lived all her life in Cushing and was a member of the McKnight Congregational Methodist Church. Jean graduated from Tyler Junior College and worked at the Cushing Post Office for 42 years. She was Postmaster for the last 15 years before retiring. She loved traveling with her husband, watching the Dallas Cowboys and watching her granddaughter’s field hockey team at Ball State University. She was preceded in death by husband Leroy Greenwood and daughter Kay Jefferies, as well as her parents and 4 brothers. She is survived by daughter Lea Ann Greenwood-Nash (David) of Houston, brother Weldon Gresham of Tyler, grandchildren Natalie Coffey, Stephanie Fitzpatrick and Morgan Nash and great grandchildren Jordan Coffey, Austin Coffey, Jaiden Coffey, Kaylee Fitzpatrick and Conner Fitzpatrick. Pallbearers are Mike Nichols, Terry Nichols, Mike Gresham, Ricky Gresham, Dani Egan and Kyle Sewell. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Belk, Brian Nichols, Jeffrey Stewart, Anthony Stewart, Cade Duncan and Tate Duncan.
